Healing ~ Honoring ~ Heroes

Amazing Surf Adventures will be hosting their annual Operation Surf Central Coast event September 29th – October 5th.
This event is held in support of the men and women who have sacrificed so much to protect our freedom.
Wounded active-duty and veteran service members from various branches of the U.S. military will take part in an epic life-changing experience at beaches across the Central Coast.
Through the healing power of the ocean, surfing, and camaraderie, these wounded heroes, to whom we owe so much, will overcome challenges and build a new understanding of their personal potential.

For many participants, the trip to Operation Surf is their first time leaving the hospital since being injured in Iraq or Afghanistan, making this unique and highly effective healing tool an invaluable part of their early recovery. At previous Operation Surf Central Coast events, the wounded heroes have been astounded at the outpouring of love and appreciation from the Central Coast community and its many volunteers.

TIME: Arrive 11:15 am (This time MAY CHANGE – MUST CALL Mission Update # for exact time – 805.242.0536)
BRIEFING: 11:30 am – Please be at this, we will be getting everyone in place for arrival of our Heroes.
LOCATION: San Luis Obispo Airport
PARKING INSTRUCTIONS: Parking will be available in the old parking lot and new lower parking lot. You will need to purchase a parking ticket ~ one hour is $2.00. There may be parking on the street, heading towards the business complexes.

September 29th – Welcome our Heroes at the San Luis Obispo Airport
September 30th – Honor our Heroes at our Opening Ceremony in Avila 9am
September 30th-October 1st – Surf with our heroes in Avila 9am-2:30pm
October 2nd- Surf with our heroes at The Rock in Morro Bay 9am-2:30pm
October 3rd- Travel Surf day to Hollister Ranch
October 4th – Surf with our heroes at The Rock in Morro Bay 9am-2:30pm
October 4th – Close out the week of healing at our Farewell Bash!
