Armed Forces Day – Veteran Salute
We cordially invite you to join us in commemorating Armed Forces Day as we pay tribute to 35 veterans at the Merrill Gardens Senior Living facility.
Your presence and support would be greatly appreciated.
DATE: Saturday, May 20th, 2023
TIME: Arrive at staging location @ 1030 am
STAGING LOCATION: Edwards Community Center parking lot, 809 Panther Drive, Santa Maria

Kindly remember to bring a few “Thank You for Service” cards for the Mail Call presentation, meant for our honored veterans.

DETAILS/SAFETY MEASURES
1. ASSEMBLY POINT: Please gather at the designated stage/meeting area mentioned above.
2. EVENT BRIEFING: Attendance at the briefing is mandatory to participate in this event.
3. DEPARTURE: Once the briefing concludes, we will organize the caravan/convoy in the specified order and commence our journey.
4. HEADLIGHTS/HAZARD LIGHTS: Please ensure they are switched on when we align to exit the assembly area. DRIVE SLOWLY.
5. EXITING THE PARKING LOT: Please adhere to all traffic regulations and laws.
6. MAIL CALL CARDS: Please give the cards to our Mail Call Lady for presentation to the veterans.
7. FLAGS: We would like to bring your attention to an important notice regarding flags. Welcome Home Military Heroes is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving veterans. In order to maintain our non-profit status, we kindly request that political flags of any kind not be flown. However, you are more than welcome to display Birthday Flags or Military Branch of Service Flags. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
8. DECORATE YOUR VEHICLES: You are free to decorate your vehicle if you wish to do so.
