FLAG LINE ~ WWII VETERAN MEMORIAL SERVICE BINDO STASI GRASSO, 96, of Santa Maria, California
passed away on September 23, 2019 in Guadalupe, California.
Bindo was born in Metuchen, New Jersey on August 23, 1923. In 1943, Bindo joined the Army as a paratrooper and fought in WWII as a 101st Airborne Pathfinder who jumped the day before D-Day to set the beacons for the invasion in Normandy, as well as, fought in the Battle of the Bulge in Bastone. Bindo has received numerous awards and medals for his service, and is considered an American War Hero.
Bindo was married to Emily Grasso, and they had three children. He owned A&B Concrete Construction Company where he is credited for helping build many of the structures in Santa Maria.
Bindo is preceded in death by Philip Stasi (Father), Antoinette Grasso (Mother), Emily Grasso (Wife), Pasquelina Grasso (Sister), Alda Tomera (Sister), Mary Nicoletti (Sister), Jimmy Grasso (Brother), Elizabeth Vizzini (Sister) and Linda Moody (Daughter).
Bindo is survived by his Daughter, Sandra Lyons (Scott), and his Son, Philip Grasso both of Santa Maria, California, as well as, eleven (11) grandchildren, twenty-eight (28) great-grandchildren, and eight (8) great-great grandchildren.
