THIS IS A THREE PHASED EVENT. PLEASE READ CAREFULLY:

Phase 1: Staging
Time: 11:20am
Location: 1026 East Grand Avenue, Arroyo Grande
Host: Welcome Home Military Heroes
We are asking everyone to please stage your vehicles at Mechanics Bank at 11:15am. All Hotrod, classics, truck and Veteran vehicle groups are allowed to join. Once you get to parking lot, get your phone out to watch the Virtual Ceremony.
*Only speakers and video crew are allowed in cemetery.
**You must RSVP for this event. We need to get an estimate on the amount of vehicles attending.

Phase 2: Virtual Ceremony
Time: 11:30am
Host: South County Veterans of Foreign Wars
The Nipomo Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10978 will be hosting the Memorial Day Ceremony. The ceremony will be broadcasted live on Welcome Home Military Heroes Facebook page.
Details are still being planned, but we are looking at starting at 11:30am.

Phase 3: Memorial Day Vehicle Salute (RSVP REQUIRED)
Time: 12pm
Host: Welcome Home Military Heroes
After the ceremony, Robert Tolan will conduct his briefing on Facebook Live. Everyone must attend the briefing to participate in Vehicle Salute. The route will be posted on this event by Tuesday.

*If you can not or do not want to attend the vehicles salute, please watch the virtual ceremony live on our Facebook page!

1. MEET/STAGING AREA: Meet at above Stage/Meeting Area (Please be there no later than 11:20 am)

2. REMAIN: In your vehicles, as we are practicing social distancing. If you exit to stretch your legs, please remain near your vehicle.

3. BRIEFING: The escort briefing will be live on Facebook at the Welcome Home Military Heroes Public page and will start 11:55 am.
Make sure to bring your charged smartphone to join the briefing “live” briefing on our Facebook page. If you don’t have Facebook, we will brief you in your car.

4. DEPARTURE: After the briefing, we will line up the caravan/convoy in order and depart at NOON.

5. HEADLIGHTS/HAZARD LIGHTS:** Please turn them on when we line up to exit the staging area. DRIVE SLOW.

6. EXITING PARKING LOT: Follow all traffic laws.

DECORATE YOUR VEHICLES: You may decorate if you want, but remember, we will be going through Arroyo Grande, Grover Beach, Oceano and back to Arroyo Grande again. Make sure the decorations don’t fly off.
