Veteran Vehicle Salute Oceano

Please join us for a Veteran Vehicle Salute to Honor:

WWII, Army Veteran Robert E. Busick

Our Hero was in Troop B, 30th Cavalry Reconnaissance Squadron, and served under General Patton.

He was in Northern France, Rhineland, Ardennes, Central Europe Campaign, and The Battle of The Bulge.

He received 4 Bronze Service Stars, Good Conduct Medal, and a Purple Heart. He is immensely proud of his service and carries his DD214 with him all the time.

His birthday is in October (turning 96 years old), but he has failing health. The family wants to honor him before his birthday.

DATE: Saturday, 5 September

LOCATION: Oceano

TIME: ARRIVE at Staging Location @ 11:00 AM

STAGING LOCATION: Oceano Depot, 1650 Front Street, Ocean – Look for Welcome Home trucks with flags.

BRIEFING: 11:15 am (You must attend briefing)

Please “BACK IN” to the parking spaces.

DETAILS/SAFETY MEASURES

1. STAGING AREA: Meet at above Stage/Meeting Area

 

2. REMAIN: In your vehicles, as we are practicing social distancing. If you exit to stretch your legs, please remain near your vehicle.

 

3. BRIEFING: You must attend the briefing to be part of this event.

 

4. DEPARTURE: After the briefing, we will line up the caravan/convoy in order and depart.

 

5. HEADLIGHTS/HAZARD LIGHTS:**** Please turn them on when we line up to exit the staging area. DRIVE SLOW.

 

6. EXITING PARKING LOT: Follow all traffic laws.

 

7. Birthday cards will need to be given to Robert Sr, Robert Jr OR Cheryl. For safety reasons, we will present on your behalf

DECORATE YOUR VEHICLES: You may decorate if you want.
