April 2017: Some esteemed travelers were welcomed home Thursday afternoon at the San Luis Obispo County Regional Airport.
Twenty-one WWII and Korean War veterans arrived after a trip to the nation’s capitol.
The trip was organized by the Honor Flight Central Coast California Tour.
“I was really impressed with the Vietnam Wall. I had never seen it before and it was really impressive, kinda makes you want to cry,” said John BeLair, Sgt. U.S. Marine Corps Korean War Veteran.
The veterans were supposed to fly in Wednesday night, but were delayed due to weather conditions.
Welcome Home Military Heroes was their to welcome them back home. Vice President Robert Tolan Jr from WHMH joined Honor Flight on their Tour of Duty!
