Subject: A Heartfelt Thank You to Robert Tolan and Honor Flight and Welcome Home Military Heroes
Dear Robert Tolan and the Honor Flight and Welcome Home Military Heroes team,
I wanted to take a moment to express my immense gratitude for the incredible trip that you organized for Vietnam, WW2, and Korean War veterans to visit their Memorial Walls. It was truly one of the most amazing experiences of my life.
The opportunity to witness the weight lifted off of my veteran’s shoulders and the emotion that was evoked from climbing on wheelchairs to get his friend’s name etched on paper was an experience that I will cherish forever. The transformation that I saw in the lives of these veterans, the friendships that were made, and the healing that they experienced after years of heartache and pain was nothing short of amazing.
I cannot find the words to describe the immense thankfulness that these veterans had for the trip. If you have the opportunity and ability, I implore you to take a trip with a veteran. It is truly a life-changing experience that you will never forget.
Once again, I want to express my sincere thanks for everything that you do for our veterans. I hope to be able to take another veteran on this trip again soon.
