People across the Central Coast came together Thursday to remember a World War II veteran.
Andy Andrews, 96, was an active member of Welcome Home Military Heroes, which organizes events for troops returning home from deployment.
The organization also shows up for memorial services and is part of the Honor Flight program that flies veterans to visit memorials in Washington D.C.
On Thursday, Welcome Home Military Heroes joined family and friends in paying respects to the Navy veteran at New Life Church in Pismo Beach.
Welcome Home Military Heroes also provides a number of services to veterans and their families.
