It was a foggy Tuesday morning… but that didn’t stop our members! Some of our members took time off work, cancelled other plans to welcome home an Airwomen from San Luis Obispo. She has been deployed overseas for over 12 months. We were so happy to welcome her home and see the reunion back with her family!
It was a beautiful Red, White, and Blue over looking the Pacific Ocean. Welcome Home Military Heroes welcomed 18 Wounded Veterans to Pismo Beach. All these Veterans are flying in for AmpSurf annual event. During the next few days, these Veterans will learn how to surf. The picture is worth 1000 words. After being gone for nearly a year, a local United States Airman returned home to his family. “It was such a touching welcome home” one WHMH member said after the event. The Airman was greeted by his kids, wife and WHMH mascot!

Our hearts aced when we learned the news that Boyd Bristol passed away. Mr. Bristol who was an Army Veteran, was heavily involved in Veteran events all across the Central Coast. 4 July 2018: Welcome Home Military Heroes participated in the Nipomo Independence Parade. This is the second year that they participated and it didn’t disappoint.
